As expected, Cardiff are dead bottom after the first 8 games, with the least goals scored and the most goals conceded and there’s really been nothing at all to shout about for them.

The 2 points that they have picked up have both been 0-0’s which means they’ve not had a single game in a winning position yet this season. The only slight positive this season has been Neil Etheridge, the first ever player to have played in the Premier League from the Philippines.

The goalkeeper has been responsible for 2 penalty stops, 30 saves and 2 clean sheets so far proving himself to be vital in Cardiff’s attempts to stay in the Premier League this season. With the position they’re in, people would be quick to jump to think it’s the manager’s fault but there’s absolutely no reason to believe that Neil Warnock is responsible for their current league position, it’s simply a fact of the squad not being anywhere near good enough.

The Bluebirds are going to have to do absolute wonders in the January transfer window to dig themselves out of this hole.
