Newly Promoted Curse
West Ham face Cardiff in tonight’s 7:45 kick off at the London Stadium in a game where you’d expect the Hammers to come away with a win, but there’s a concerning stat that West Ham will have to break free from tonight.
The Hammers have lost their last three games at home to newly-promoted Premier League sides but will definitely fancy their chances coming off the back of a 3-0 away win at Newcastle with an excellent display from Chicharito who bagged his 2nd and 3rd goals of the season.
Cardiff have been picking up some points at home but with only 1 point from a possible 18 away from home this season, it will give West Ham a prime opportunity to bring themselves closer to mid table.
Can it be done?
Watford face Manchester City at Vicarage Road tonight with Watford starting the season very positively but that surely isn’t going to be enough to stop a seemingly untouchable City side.
Previous results in this fixture has been 5-0 then 6-0 respectively and with City progressing incomprehensibly this doesn’t seem like a fixture Watford will have much chance of getting a result from. With that being said, the Pep merry go round is in full swing with Laporte, Sterling and Aguero not in the line-up and it does give a chance for the fringe players to have a chance in the first team. Riyad Mahrez has scored in every fixture he’s taken a part in since 15/16 against Watford and has got a place in the starting XI this evening to continue that brilliant record into the next fixture on the 9th of March. Another City win is most definitely on the cards to continue the immense pressure on all title rivals.
