Oumar Niasse may not be one of the potential summer transfers that jumps off the page at you – but he has done enough in the past year to have had both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur send their respective scouting teams over to Russia to take a closer look at him.
Lokomotiv Moscow have stated that they would be willing to accept a £4.4 million transfer fee for the Senagal international and that is hardly likely to put off the London based clubs. They may also find strong competition from Turkish Champions Galatasary who came up against Niasse when he featured for Akhisar Belediye scoring 12 goals in 34 games.
One potential snag in the deal would be that current Galatasaray manager Hazma Hamzaoğlu had Niasse while at Akhisar and would love to team up with him again in the future and would probably have greater financial backing from upstairs to potentially lure him away with excessive wages that Chelsea and Spurs would not necessarily be willing to pay.
Both Chelsea and Spurs have established strikers that can spearhead their attacks for years to come after the signing of Diego Costa and the emergence of Harry Kane so will most likely look for a striker who will provide back up to them next season.
Diasse has stated that he would be open to a dream move to the Premiership and having only played 7 times this season is extremely disillusioned with life in Russia.
