Leeds United host Blackpool this Saturday afternoon in a game that looks set to be an all out scrap between two teams desperately struggling for points of late.
Blackpool have had an extremely difficult season following an exodus of players in the summer and have only managed one win from the opening sixteen league games. They already find themselves cut adrift at the bottom of the table and look to have an almost impossible task to stay in the division.
However, they have won a game more recently than their opponents this weekend who have not picked up all three points since September. Leeds’ run has now stretched to eight games without a win and after being served with a winding-up petition this week (reported in the Daily Mail) their problems appear to be mounting.
The game looks set to be a battle with both teams in need of a win to boost their fortunes and it is a fixture that could be based on grit and determination rather than quality or skill. Both clubs need the points but the match could simply be decided by who wants them more.
