Mignolet- Unconvincing performance from the Belgian stopper, flapped at several crosses but made a good save to deny Vardy at 3-1 (6)

Clyne- Offered an attacking threat down the right-hand side, linking up with Mane to cause Leicester’s defence problems (7)

Matip- The Cameroon International dealt with the threat of Vardy and Mahrez in his first game at Anfield (7)

Lucas- Played in an unnatural position at centre-half, gifted Vardy an easy tap-in from a couple of yards (6)

Milner- Looked very comfortable at left-back, untroubled by Mahrez and the versatile 30-year-old played in Firmino for Liverpool’s second goal (7)

Henderson- Kept the Reds ticking over in midfield, blazed over a good opportunity at 3-1 inside the area (6)

Wijnaldum- Lively first-half in his first appearance at Anfield, set up Lallana for Liverpool’s third goal (7)

Lallana- Impressive performance from Lallana, constantly found space in attacking areas, lashed home the Red’s third goal of the day to cap off a dominant display (8)

Mane- Involved in Liverpool’s best moments of the match, the winger’s pace caused the Foxes endless problems, scored one and assisted Firmino for his second goal of the match (8)

Firmino- Man of the match performance from the Brazilian, lovely first touch and calm finish to open the scoring. Rounded off the scoring in the closing stages of the game (9)

Sturridge- Staked his claim for a regular spot in the starting line-up, pulled off a flashy backheel to set up Mane’s goal but the England forward will be disappointed to have not scored himself (8)


Coutinho- Entered the game in the 76th minute in place of Sturridge, offered the Red’s plenty of energy in the closing stages of the game (6)

Stewart- Replaced Wijnaldum in the 76th minute, kept things simple in midfield as Liverpool looked to preserve their lead (6)

Moreno- Came on for Mane in the 93rd minute, no time to make an impact (6)


Schmeichel- Mixed evening for the Dane, unlucky not to save Mane’s goal but at fault for Firmino’s second after rushing out of his area (6)

Simpson- Forced off during the first half with a suspected hamstring injury (6)

Huth- Tough game for the veteran defender, struggled to deal with the threat posed by Liverpool’s pacy forward line. (5)

Morgan- The pace of Sturridge and Mane stretched Leicester’s captain, made on important block during the first half to deny Sturridge (6)

Fuchs- Overrun by Mane and Clyne as Liverpool poured forward, unable to find any success with his trademark long throws (5)

Drinkwater- Unable to find his range of passing, came close to scoring during the second half with a deflected effort narrowly going wide(6)

Amartey- Still adapting to the physical demands of the Premier League, a long way to go if he’s to fill the gap left by N’Golo Kante (6)

Mahrez- The Algerian winger came out second best in his battle against Milner, offered very little defensive protection (5)

Albrighton- Struggled to find space on the left wing to create any opportunities for Vardy and Okazaki, subbed off during the second half

Okazaki- The hardworking striker failed to offer any attacking threat, replaced at half-time with Ahmed Musa (5)

Vardy- Netted Leicester’s only goal after pouncing on a mistake from Lucas, but the 29-year-old missed a golden opportunity to make it 3-2 during the second half (7)


Hernandez- Replaced the injured Simpson during the first-half, steady performance from the Spaniard against a very pacy Liverpool side (6)

Musa- Improved Leicester’s attacking presence in the second half, but the Nigerian is still searching for his first goal for his new club (6)

Ulloa- The towering striker replaced Albrighton in the 68th minute, but he found it tough to muster a clear goal scoring opportunity (6)
