Manchester United have been the centre of controversy this season with some very disappointing results in amongst 4 wins, leaving them in 8th position after the first 8 games. 8thdoesn’t sound too bad but the way they’ve started this season with some very negative performances and no real standout players is enough to start ringing the alarm bells.

In my Premier League Pre-Season preview I touched on United’s hopes this year being held back by Mourinho being the manager, his style of play with the squad he currently possesses is completely wrong and the likes of Marcus Rashford are getting wasted sitting on the bench whilst having limitless potential. United are away at Chelsea this weekend and I’d expect nothing less than a pummeling the way both teams have been playing in recent weeks, but for United fans that could be the final nudge for Mourinho to get him out the door.

Alexis Sanchez has also been a huge sufferer of the Mourinho system by not being able to free-roam as he did for Arsenal, he’s only managed to score 0.16 goals on average a game, whereas at Arsenal he was scoring 0.49 a game, once again being limited by the main talking point Mourinho. He simply must go.
