This Monday, Goodison Park hosts a match between the newly revived Everton and last place Swansea City.
Everton have made a swift recovery to the middle of the Premier League table after the immediate impact of new manager Sam Allardyce. Allardyce’s men have won four of their last five games, with the other being an impressive draw against Liverpool.
Swansea City currently sit in last place in the Premier League with only 12 points from 17 matches. They are in desperate need of some wins to get them out of relegation trouble.
Swansea were beaten 4-0 on Wednesday night by leaders Man City who made Premier League history by reaching a 15th successive win, the longest ever in the league.
Everton have been plagued with injuries this season, they have been missing: Ross Barkley, Ramiro Funes Mori, Yannick Bolasie, James McCarthy, Maarten Stekelenburg, Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines. This has seriously limited the choice for Sam Allardyce and is testing the breadth of the squad.
Yannick Bolasie could be making a long-awaited return against Swansea after he ruptured his knee ligaments against Manchester United just over a year ago. Bolasie featured for the Under-23s on Monday against Leicester and may return to first team action on Monday against Swansea.
Swansea on the other hand have no injury problems at the moment, with all their injured players recovered and back in action for the match against Everton.
The blues should expect to comfortably win this match against last place Swansea. However, with so many injury problems at Everton, Swansea could be in with a chance of picking up some much-needed points.
Predicted Result: Everton 2-0 Swansea
