Chelsea are expected to take another three points when they entertain strugglers Swansea City at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.

Antonio Conte and his men will look to continue his team’s 5 match unbeaten run and keep tabs on the two Manchester clubs situated above them in the league. The Blues currently sit third in the league on 26 points, however they are currently 11 points behind leaders Manchester City who do not look like slipping up any time soon.

It has been quite a successful week for Chelsea; after putting West Brom to the sword last weekend by 4 goals to nil, they then followed this up on Tuesday by stuffing Champions League minnows FK Qarabag again by 4 goals to nil to go top of their Champions’ League group and securing a place into the knockout stages.

Willian grabbing a brace together with Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas scoring a penalty each. The week ended with a credible 1-1 draw away to Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, Willian again with his 3rd goal in 2 games rescued a point after Chelsea reject Mohamed Salah opened the scoring his 15th goal of the season.

The recent form of Chelsea’s Eden Hazard will no doubt be causing Swansea all sorts of headaches on Wednesday night. Since the Belgian’s return from injury, the player has found the net 6 times and assisted the same amount. This has given the side a major boost on both domestic and European aspirations this season. Together with Alvaro Morata, they strike a formidable partnership and should have enough to shoot Swansea down and further dent their status as Premier League team.

Swansea are a side deep in trouble, despite claiming a valuable point against Bournemouth on Saturday, they remain one point ahead of bottom side Crystal Palace  and are struggling for goals. Before Saturday’s game, they had lost 5 Premier League games in a row while scoring once.

Summer signings Wilfried Bony and Renato Sanches had promised a season of security and a sense of ambition for the club back in early August, however this has somehow not happened thus far. The one shining light for Swansea fans this season has been their on-loan star Tammy Abraham, he has managed to find the back of the net 5 times in his 1st season in the top flight. Unfortunately for him, he is on loan from Chelsea and is unable to face his parent club on Wednesday night, this only adds to their woes ahead of the fixture.

Antonio Conte has wing back Victor Moses to call upon again after a 6 week layoff owing to a hamstring injury, the defender could straight into the team and give others in his position a rest. The only other absentees for Chelsea are Charly Musonda (ankle), Michy Batshuayi (knee) and Kenedy (Muscle). The most notable absence for Swansea will be star striker Tammy Abraham who is ineligible to face his parent club Chelsea, other than this, Kyle Bartely is the only long term absentee with a knee injury.

A routine win for Chelsea is most likely on Wednesday night. Conte’s new defensive stability coupled with the low-scoring Swans should come take shape and take Swansea continued slump slump towards the Championship.

Prediction: Chelsea 4-0 Swansea City
