Frank Lampard’s Derby have endless potential with the signings that have been made with the feature two being premier league loanees.
Mason Mount has been loaned in from Chelsea and he had a fantastic season as an 18 year old in the Eredivisie at Vitesse scoring 14 in 32 and getting a handful assists in the process aswell. The Championship will be a tougher task but there’s not a doubt he could live up to his potential.
Harry Wilson has been brought in from Liverpool and after scoring a goal every other game for a struggling Hull last year he may be another attacking threat who will go alongside another two goalscorers in Matej Vydra and Jack Marriott. Vydra was the top goalscorer in the championship last season and Marriott has been signed from league 1’s Peterborough and he was top scorer in that league last season too.
Frank Lampard clearly has an idea of what kind of football he’s hoping to play and the lack of defensive signings may be a slight issue for a title challenge but Derby are undoubtedly promotion contenders.
