Sunday’s game at Loftus Road has become a bona fide relegation scrap for two managers desperate to claim a priceless three points. QPR have had 8 days to recover from their defeat against Crystal Palace and will hope to prey on any fatigue in the Everton camp from Thursday’s game in Ukraine.
Ramsey may have to reshuffle his pack at right back and in the centre of midfield but could have club captain Joey Barton available for selection. Regular right back Isla and stand-in Furlong’s absence could possibly see a back three employed. Fer and Faurlin are also long term casualties.
Everton have no fresh injury concerns but will be missing Gareth Barry who serves the last match of his suspension. His place in the squad could go to Aaron Lennon who was cup tied for the Europa League fixture. Mirallas, Hibbert, Pienaar and Oviedo are all still side lined.
Everton have only won 3 on the road this season and it will be interesting to see if they have a Europa League hangover having been dumped out by Dynamo Kiev. Much has been made of QPR’s abysmal away record this season but they have not won at home since December so a tight nervous affair could be in prospect.
