Watford had a blistering start to the season breaking a new club record with 4 wins from their first 4 games including a huge 2-1 win over Tottenham. Unfortunately, since then they’re now winless with a huge 4-0 loss at home to Bournemouth and two losses against 2 of last year’s top 6, which is quite hard to read from a form perspective.

What can be said for certain, is that Javier Garcia has got a below average squad performing brilliantly under quite an offensive style, a serious downside to this is that the tracking back from forward positions has started to cause a discipline issue.

Jose Holebas has been brilliant in the offensive third, racking up 4 assists but has received 5 yellow cards within 8 premier league games leading to a suspension already leaving his team at an instant disadvantage and similarly Etienne Capoue has had 4 yellow cards already. It may not seem a huge issue but for a team with such a slim squad with no real depth, it could be the problem for Watford this season.
