Guus Hiddink is treating the FA Cup with respect as he is expected to field his first XI as he looks to win his second FA Cup as Chelsea manager. However he will be without his captain John Terry, as he is sidelined due to a hamstring injury.

It is fair to say that Chelsea have not had the best of seasons as they are languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League, out of the capital one cup and their place in the Champions league is threatened after a 2-1 loss to PSG in midweek. So the FA Cup looks to be a realistic target and it looks that Hiddink knows this as he fields a strong XI as this could be their only chance of silverware this season.

Manchester City and Pellegrini have also been dwindling in recent weeks with disappointment last weekend after their 2-1 home loss to title rivals Spurs and losing ground in the Premier League title race. However unlike Chelsea, Manchester City are still in all four competitions and have multiple chances of winning some silverware but with so many games being played there has been injuries in the process.

City are without Eliaquim Mangala, Kevin De Bruyne, Samir Nasri, Jesus Navas, Fabian Delph and Wilfried Bony and so Pellegrini will be looking at his younger players to step up against Chelsea with their Champions League commitments in midweek against Dynamo Kiev.

Manchester City have won six and lost only two of their last 11 matches against Chelsea in all competitions and City and Chelsea have been drawn together five times in the FA Cup with Manchester City winning four and losing just one.
