The Mirror online reported last week that Dortmund star Marco Reus is being closely monitored by both Arsenal and Manchester United.
However the German international is currently side lined with a long-term cruciate ligament injury and is unlikely to return to action until 2018.
With Alexis Sanchez likely to move away from the Emirates, Arsene Wenger considers Reus the perfect replacement.
Furthermore the Mirror reports that Arsenal aren’t the only Premier League team that has got their eye on Reus.
Manchester United are also ready to pounce after Reus recently revealed he is considering leaving the German giants.
Reus told GQ magazine “On May 31 next year, I will turn 30. That would be my last big contract and a final opportunity to try something different.”
On the other hand Dortmund are keen to keep their star man for many years to come, even more so after losing attacking play maker Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona this past Summer.
