Tony Pulis took over Middlesbrough around Christmas and sorted the struggling mid-table side out with a late end of season surge into the play-offs. Middlesbrough possess a huge attacking arsenal with the likes of Patrick Bamford and Britt Assombalonga, both of which have had very successful seasons in the Championship during their careers.
The Boro have normally had their success through their defence and with Pulis managing you know it’ll be a counter attacking style and fortunately Boro have a very solid backline to play that way. Ben Gibson will be playing centrally along side new signing Aden Flint, Gibson has attracted plenty of attention in recent years from Premier League sides and is a pivotal part of Boro’s defence.
If Middlesbrough could carry on their progress they made last season they will be a real play-off threat.
