As Liverpool enjoyed a emphatic come-back against West Ham yesterday, there was one notable name left from the team-sheet, and no I don’t mean Suarez. Nuri Sahin didn’t even make the bench after publicaly stating.
I’ve played my whole career deeper – that’s my position. But I have played as a No 10 here. It was new for me but I tried my best. If I could choose a position it would be holding, as I feel more comfortable playing deeper and can give my all.
I’m tired of players coming out and making their frustrations public. It not only shows a complete disrespect for the Club/Manager, but it also shows the character of some of these players. As far as I’m concerned as soon as you sign for a club you have made a commitment to that club, to be at their disposal in any capacity.
However the days of the honest man are gone I’m afraid. Instead we have to settle for sub-standard wannabe’s who are so far up their own backside’s to remotely care about anyone else but themselves.
If Sahin wanted a permanent deal he could have gone a better way about it. Henderson has played out of position since joining, Stewart Downing has been played left back, Enrique has played left winger. If he looked around he would see that the team is trying to graft it’s way out of trouble by playing their best. That’s what Rodgers’ wants to instill and if Nuri Sahin doesn’t want to “Give his all” then I can’t expect him to have a future there.
