Following a series of shaky defensive performances, the Gunners are looking to bolster their defence with highly rated Juventus defender Martin Caceres according to talkSPORT.
The Gunners have now lost two cup matches in a row, one to Championship side Blackburn and another which quite possibly spells their departure from the Champions League to the fantastic Bayern Munich side.
Arsene Wenger is now looking to revamp his squad with Uruguayan international Martin Caceres. The player is known to be very versatile with the ability to play in central defence, right back and left back.
Caceres joined Barcelona in 2008 for a reported £12m but left after a season plagued with injury and bench appearances. He then moved to Sevilla where he flourished, before moving to Juventus (on loan) in January 2012. He signed a full-time contract with the Italian giants the following summer.
The 25 year old may just provide some much needed level headed experience at The Emirates. He’s a Copa America winner, Super Cup, Copa de Rey, Serie A and Primera División winner. Right now, the Gunners simply don’t have anyone nearing that grade at present. Transfermarkt value him at around the £8m mark and this might well be money well spent.
